| 2008 Touchedby.com Ten Year Update
An Open Letter to Site Visitors Dear Friends: It’s been a while since I have updated this Web site, as much has happened in life and work. But since we’ve marked the ten year anniversary of the fatal car crash that claimed the lives of Cindy and Chelsea, I felt that this would be a good time to share some updates on our family. First order of business--my sons, Josh and Brody. People always ask me about my two sons and are curious as to how and what they are doing now. Both boys are doing great! Josh and his lovely wife, Wendy, have their hands full raising their three children. He and Wendy live in Seattle, where they are busy with Chloe, age 3, Ella Joy, age 2 and Beckham, age 8 months. My guess is that the only reason he has three young kids in less than ten years is that the weather in Seattle can be a bit dreary, or else it’s the water they’re drinking. As for Brody, he lives in Orlando, Florida with his girlfriend, Aimee, who has been the best thing for him since sliced bread. Aimee works at Universal Studios in Orlando, and Brody is pursuing his lifelong passion and dream by recording music for clients in his own recording studio. Both Brody and Aimee have two cute dogs (their kids)…. Smart move, guys, they’re a lot cheaper and easier to care for than kids. Ask Josh! For more on what’s happened over the past ten years... Both Justin Cabezas and I have shared our story on numerous talk shows and given hundreds of presentations across the country. We’ve literally reached tens of thousands of teen and young adult drivers all over the nation, educating them on making the right choices while driving. In 2007, a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie chronicled the crash and what happened afterward aired on network television, and earlier this year, that production was honored with the prestigious Camie Award. Our nonprofit organization, Safe Teen Driver, has been operating for over five years now and continues to grow nationwide helping communities with our programs. While it’s hard for me to believe what’s happened in the past ten years since that fateful day, I also realize that we’ve only just begun to make difference. I am genuinely looking forward to the next 10 years and all that I can do to honor Cindy and Chelsea with my work and life. All the best, Bruce
