First I do wish to thank all the emergency personnel along with the Hillsborough Sheriffs Department and the Florida Highway patrol officers. I know that these accidents are an everyday occurrence around the bay area, but nonetheless I know that they are not easy for you as firefighters, paramedics and police officers to handle at times. Especially if your married and have children, no one wants to see a person or a child hurt or killed and I know that the accident that took my wife and daughter was horrific in the manner that they died, it had to be very hard for all of you that worked that accident to handle. I do thank you for keeping the scene as private as possible. I also want to thank the Funeral Home of Blount Curry and Roel for handling the arrangements, and to Chuck for being very professional and sensitive. We also want to thank our Pastor, his wife and the staff of Without Walls International Church for their support and prayers. We also want to thank the congregation and some of our close friends for the continued support. I want to thank the television media and the local newspapers for their continued coverage of this story. I appreciate the professionalism and sensitivity you have given this story. I also want to thank the Tampa Bay community for it's prayers and support of my family. I am also thankful for their support in helping myself and Joan Landrum for bringing an awareness and change to the safety issues that plagued West Hillsborough Avenue. I also want to thank the Department of Transportation, our elected officials who listened and acted upon our requests to make this a safer road. And finally I wish to thank my Attorneys for their caring support in handling all the legal matters for my sons and I. Thank you, Bruce Murakami |
